LONDON MARATHON

On Sunday 13 April, more than 35,000 people will run through the streets of London for the 34 th London Marathon.

The Race:

The London Marathon is a flat course around the river Thames over distance 0f 42 km. There are different starting points but all runners finish on The Mall, by St James's Park.

The Prizes
Some runners make money from the Marathon. Prizes start at around 730 € for twelfth place and can go up to 40000€. Winners can also get big bonuses if they break a record.

Slow:
One Englishmen took five days, eight hours, 29 minutes and 46 seconds. He wore a 50 kg diving suit and shoes weighing 11 kg each!
